Sharon Stark has been working with Peter Lauzon for approximately ten years, representing clients in all aspects of family law, with a particular emphasis on international and interstate custody matters. Ms. Stark has successfully represented clients from all over the world in cases involving the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction. Together with Mr. Lauzon, Ms. Stark has also successfully represented clients in a number of appellate matters.

In addition to her law degree, Ms. Stark has a graduate degree in clinical psychology, which assists her in representing clients with custody issues. Ms. Stark also has considerable business litigation experience, which she utilizes to obtain optimal results for her clients in complex financial family law matters.

Ms. Stark graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science and attended George Washington University Law School.  After obtaining her law degree on an accelerated schedule, Ms. Stark spent the next 18 months as a judicial law clerk in Washington, D.C.  Upon completing her clerkship, Ms. Stark practiced antitrust and patent litigation at the Washington D.C. office of Morgan Lewis.  Ms. Stark also practiced business litigation at Buchalter Nemer in San Francisco before returning to her hometown of Los Angeles to work with Mr. Lauzon, exclusively practicing family law.  On her journey to becoming a family law attorney, Ms. Stark was an intern for the Congressional Caucus on Women’s Issues and performed pro bono work in cases involving child abuse and neglect.

Ms. Stark obtained a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University after obtaining her law degree. Ms. Stark is licensed to practice law in California, Washington, D.C., and Maryland.
